BY-LAWS OF THE INTERNATIONAL
INDEPENDENT SHOWMEN'S ASSOCIATION, INC.
ARTICLE TWO
SECTION 1
MEMBERSHIP
QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANT
Among other qualifications for Membership in this Organization, the applicant must be or
have been actively connected with the outdoor show business or allied industries, such as
follows:
A. OUTDOOR SHOWMEN
1. Carnival managers and all personnel;
2. Circus owners and all circus personnel;
3. Amusement park owners, operators and personnel;
4. Senior Showperson.
B. ALLIED INDUSTRIES
1. Booking offices, merchandise jobbers, distributors, and
manufacturers of equipment and merchandise specifically for show business; proprietors,
managers, editors and reporters of weekly or monthly theatrical and amusement magazines
and journals; insurance, legal, accountants, auditors and legal adjusters rendering
services to showmen's clubs, representing at least (50) members.
C. At the discretion of the Board of Directors any person
who performs outstanding services directly to or for the Association may be excepted as an
active member.

SECTION 3
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Any applicant for membership must be proposed in writing, upon the Association's official
Application Blank, by a member in good standing. The applicant shall personally sign such
Application Blank.

SECTION 3 A
SENIOR SHOWPERSON
MUST BE 65 Years or over. Must have been a showperson or
holding a present card from another showmen's club. This member will not have the right to
vote or hold office in the I.I.S.A. This member will also waiver all benefits, if
any, from S.R.V., Cemetery and the I.I.S.A.
ARTICLE TWO
SECTION 3 B
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Must be the husband or wife of a active member holding a current paid up card. Each
application submitted must be voted on by the Board of Directors and must pass by a
unanimous vote. This member will not have the right to vote or hold office in the I.I.S.A.
This member will also waiver all benefits, if any, from S.R.V. Cemetery and I.I.S.A.
Associate members can not now or at any future time propose membership to the I.I.S.A.
Associate members are eligible for committee appointments and after a three year probation
period. Initiation fee will be the same as a regular member. Dues will be $19.00 per year.
At such time an associate member is no longer the husband or wife of an active member, he
or she will not be eligible to renew their membership card the following year.
ARTICLE TWO
SECTION 4
ACTIVE MEMBERS
An applicant for the Association shall be a person over 18 years of age and under the age
of 65 of sound and good moral character, who is or has been in any branch of show business
or any business allied with the amusement business profession for at least the (1) one
year preceding his application. Any show person who is, at the time of his/her
application, a member in good standing of any showmen's club
recognized by this club is eligible to submit application for Board's approval.
